FAA SMS Workshop Participant

Whether just beginning your SMS journey or looking to transition your current SMS to meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 5, I believe this workshop can help get you there. We are in the process of aligning our IS-BAO stage III compliant SMS with FAA Part 5 and the Aviation Safety Solutions team did a great job outlining the differences and the requirements of Part 5. After attending the workshop, I feel better prepared for the process and I also appreciate all of the templates and resources provided to help ease the transition.

I enjoyed both the ERP and the SRM exercises, they provided great insight into the FAA requirements for both and the AVSS instructors did a great job guiding us through the drills. The AVSS instructors provided much insight, sharing their personal experiences in SMS/ERP and the Part 5 requirements which really helped clarify the topics. The latest technology is used in the classroom to enhance the experience and I felt it helped make the material digestible and the days go by quickly.

I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to enhance their SMS knowledge and assist with preparation for Part 5 alignment. Not only is this a great workshop for Aviation Leaders and Safety Managers, but I also see value for all our Safety Committee members and will be sending all of them to this workshop to increase their SMS understanding.
